Our Veterinarians
Dr. Justin D. Brown
Veterinarian
Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2001—Go, Illini!
He practiced as an associate in Danville, IL, before moving his family to Peoria in 2005, at which point he started his own business.
Today, Dr. Brown lives in rural Princeville with his wife, children, and pets, including dogs, cats, and a pig.
Dr. Stephanie Gingras
Veterinarian
Dr. Gingras received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University—Boiler Up!
She has been with Brown Animal Hospital since 2013. Dr. Gingras currently lives in Peoria with her husband and their children, cats, and dogs.
Dr. Carl J. Johnson
Veterinarian
Dr. Johnson received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University—Go Cyclones!
Before retiring, he owned his own clinic in Pekin for many years. In 2020, he stepped back into the workforce and started working at BAH.
Dr. Johnson currently is the proud owner of Margarita the Keeshond.
Dr. Brittanie Grant
Dr. Brittanie Grant earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. She began her career in mixed animal practice, gaining extensive experience while working on call 24/7, and later transitioned to small animal general practice and emergency medicine. She has attended international continuing education conferences, enhancing her clinical skills and bringing a global perspective to her veterinary care. Driven by a lifelong passion for helping animals, Dr. Grant is committed to delivering high-quality care. Outside of veterinary medicine, she was a national-level synchronized swimmer and has competed across North America.
